The Tail of Bead Bar

Bead Bar started with two colleagues, a shared passion for dogs, and a spontaneous idea that turned into something bigger than we ever imagined.

We’re Katie and Gaby, and we first met as colleagues at a veterinary clinic. Naturally, we bonded over our “kids”—our dogs, Reina and Torshi. In April 2024, we crafted our first custom collars for them, blending our love for dogs with a bit of creativity.

The collars were a hit—and not just with us. One evening out together, people began asking where they could get one for their pups. That sparked an idea, and by the end of the night, we decided to take the leap. The rest, as they say, is history.

Within weeks, we launched our website and online shop, and Bead Bar was born. Over the past year, we’ve had the joy of popping up at pet stores, markets, adoption events, doggie daycares, and more, creating custom friendship collars live and connecting with the incredible dog-loving community around us.

The connections we’ve built and the stories we’ve heard have made this journey so rewarding—and they motivate us to keep growing and finding new ways to bring joy to pets and their humans.
